Does anyone else hate the commercial where the grandmother is talking to her grand-daughter about her camera. The jest is the grand-daughter left the digital camera over at her grand-mothers house and is asking the grand-mother to look for it. So the scene shows the grand-mother pretending to look for the camera, i.e., opening and closing drawers to make sound and lying to the grand-daughter that she can’t find the camera while all along the grand-mother is holding the camera, looking it over as she lies to the grand-daughter.

Now is it just me or does anyone else have a problem with this commercial. I don’t even know the name of the camera they are selling — all I remember is the lying and deceit. And who has a grand-mother like that? Yes, sure there are people out there like this and there are some who are grand-mothers. But how is it OK for someone to behave this way? I don’t think so, the message is way off base. Funny thing is you would have thought the ad agency and company would have figured this out without spending thousands of dollars creating the ad.

Note, I hate this commercial so much I mute the TV everytime it comes on.
