Thats a loaded statement because we all have our own ideas of ’success’. For example, when my son was younger he used to ask about money, he’d ask, “Mom are we rich”, my answer was always, “yes, we are rich in love”.
OK, well I want to be ‘rich’ in not only my personal life, but also ‘rich’ with lots of money. And honestly money isn’t the goal, it is a means to an end.
I want lots of money for peace of mind, I want money to support things I’m passionate about. Money per se hasn’t been important to me in the fact that I’ve never chosen my work or career based on how much money I would make doing it.
I remember listening to a tape while in college where they preached, “do what you love, the money will follow.” And I’ve been successful in the philosophy over the years but I think it is a misnomer not to consider money at all so this is my own issue I’m exploring — i.e., think — money is good!
So anyway, I don’t want to get off track, this post is meant to share a great resource I found today, Educators Corner: Entrepreneurship Education Resources from Stanford. http://edcorner.stanford.edu/index.html
In this new information economy we are all in a sense entrepreneurs — so as a life-long learner and an entrepreneur business owner I’m looking to others who are mega successful in business since this is what I’m working on and this resource should not only feed my need to learn, but also help me in my business.
So check it out because they have some valuable resources, especially podcasts — so take a moment to listen! I’ll keep you updated on the ones I find valuable and would like to ask if you find any to post the link in the comments.
