This movie directed by Jodie Foster is a classic and a must see for the holidays. Holly Hunter and Robert Downey Jr. are great and if you don’t have to go ‘home’ this holiday season then watch the movie to remember what you’re missing.

Although this is a quirky family, the core feelings it brings up are universal and will hit home with most of us. You know the feeling you get when you go home, transformed from being an adult to the child again. :) I love the screne where they pick up Aunt Glady to bring her to Thanksgiving dinner and she farts in the car. Is it a universal rule — does everyone have an “Aunt Glady”? Then of course Anne Bancroft plays the ‘perfect’ mom — you know with the comments. It seems that all ‘moms’ make these comments. I thought my mom was the only one that did those kinds of things.

And for those of us who aren’t going ‘Home for the HoLiDAYs’ — watch the movie — you’ll be thankful you don’t have to carry the cross this year. :) But then again it is sorta of a right of passage so you might even miss the craziness of it all — but then again maybe not!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to All!
