There are some great sites around the net that allow you to share your photos with the world. But I wanted to take it step further, I wanted to be able to sell my photos as greeting cards, poster prints, or even have them printed to canvas. So I started doing a bit of research which led me to ImageKind.com a subsidary of CafePress. Some may be familiar with CafePress - a cool site that gives you the opportunity to sell you stuff printed on t-shirts, mugs, etc.
Imagekind.com is a few years old and offers over 750,000 high-quality fine art images for sale. So there is quality and stability behind the company, but another feature I liked about them is that is gives you, the artist, the ability to connect with other artists. It is the world’s first community to serve as a hybrid art gallery, photo-sharing service and a print-on-demand service. In addition they’ve, Imagekind has partnered with leading brands such as Walgreens, Snapfish, Flickr, HP and Costco.com which opens up the market much wider to new, upcoming artists to distribute to the widest possible online audience.
